Hi everyone I am Iris today’s featured member of the St. Matthew by the Lake pet family. I live with Bill and Cheryl and one of my unique qualities is that I can speak human. I love cookies and cake and water and do not hesitate to tell Cheryl or Bill what I want or need and they take care of me. You know, it is good that we tell God our problems and our needs too because God really does desire to care for us and wants us to express our needs. In this middle of the COVID-19 crisis, I also thought I would show you how I am practicing social distancing, at least when I want to. So long for now and remember to keep talking to God through your prayers.

There is nothing quite like a pet who can tell you what they want. Over and over. 😃 She is a unique pet, and a real member of our family. She sings to me (Hark the herald Angels sing is her favorite), and always finds a way to make us laugh. We are blessed to have her.

So I have met Iris and I can tell you that she has added joy to my life by the funny things that she has said. Iris also makes her presence know by yelling at the top of her lungs. So while Bill and Cheryl are in self imposed seclusion during this time of viruses Iris will be sure to entertain!!!

I can tell you first hand from bird sitting Iris she is a HOOT! She kept Steve and our grandson Steven and myself entertained the whole time she was with us! Steven was eating a Hershey candy bar and Iris snatched a piece from him!!
